The Beginning
How It All Started
I didn't set out to paint. I found my way to it during a period of stillness — a time when I needed something to hold my attention and quiet my mind. The first mandala I drew was small, imperfect, and entirely mine. Folk art came later, through a deep curiosity about the stories and symbols passed down through generations. That's when I understood what painting really is: a practice in patience, memory, and surrender.
What started as a personal ritual became something I couldn't stop sharing. Friends and family began noticing the paintings on my walls. Then came requests. Then commissions. And slowly — a studio practice.
Today, every painting I make carries that same original intention: to create something that gives the viewer a moment of genuine stillness in a world that rarely slows down.

The Process
From Intention to Canvas
Each painting takes between 20 and 60 hours across several sessions. Here's how it unfolds.
The Centre Point
Every mandala begins with a single dot — the origin from which all structure radiates. Folk pieces begin with a story or symbol. In both cases, I spend time in stillness before touching the canvas.
Geometric Foundation
For mandalas, a compass, ruler, and protractor form the invisible skeleton. For folk paintings, traditional motifs and freehand linework set the foundation.
Colour Layering
Colour is added in layers — sometimes light to dark, sometimes the reverse — building depth and luminosity over multiple sessions.
Detail Work
The finest brushes (size 000 and 00000) create dots, petals, and linework. This is the most meditative phase — slow, repetitive, deeply satisfying.
Sealing
Each finished painting is sealed with a protective varnish — UV-resistant, satin finish — to preserve colour vibrancy for decades.
